Free Auto Mouse Clicker is a freeware program for Windows 95 that automates mouse clicks and movements.

Free Auto Mouse Clicker is a Windows program that lets you automate mouse movements and clicks. The program is freeware, which means you can use it as much as needed without any cost. The program does feature a Donate button, and that button is unfortunately a fixture on the main UI.

The main UI is an editor that helps you record, create and edit macros. Macros are a series of actions, such as mouse clicked at a particular screen coordinate. Movement is recreated by calculating the shortest path between points. That means it isn’t accurate to the recording, but this approach is likely good enough for most users’ purposes. You can also define mouse clicks by entering the coordinates rather than recording mouse pointer position.

Macros are bound to hotkeys, in particular the function keys, so you’re limited in the number of macros you can have active. The program must be running for these hotkeys to work, and macros are persisted between sessions if you choose them to be. You can define hotkeys as either toggles or play buttons. With a play hotkey, the macro will play once and complete. With a toggle, the macro will continue to play in a loop until you press the key again.

Perhaps the most glaring omission is that Free Auto Mouse Clicker doesn’t support keyboard events. Most mouse clickers that support macros do, and it seems easy enough for a program like this to implement. Our expectations bring us to another point: there are newer programs like this one that are more complex and designed for newer operating systems. For what it is, however, this app works great, and it seems to work fine in compatibility mode as well.

Pros

  • Automate mouse clicks and movements
  • Record, create and edit macros
  • Assign macros to hotkeys

Cons

  • Doesn’t support keyboard events
  • Alternatives for modern OS versions available
